Development
Visual Basic .NET Developer
The successful candidate will work with a team of developers and analysts in the development and maintenance of our software. They will develop new software, maintain current software and may participate in conversion of current applications from ASP, VBScript, VB 6 and COM+ to ASP.NET and VB.NET. The ability to manage multiple project demands from various teams in the organization will be a necessity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new functionality and applications
- Maintenance of existing software
- Conversion of application to ASP.NET and VB.NET
- Prepare and maintain program documentation as necessary
- Work with product development team to refine user requirements
Experience / Education Required:
- Associates or Bachelors degree
- 5+ years software development experience
- 3+ years experience with VB, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server 2000
Experience is Mandatory in the following fields:
- Software Industry
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions
- Printing Industry
Personal Characteristics Required:
- Excellent personal interaction & communication (written and verbal)
- Able to work independently or in a collaboration with others
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to follow development process and QA requirements

Client Services
Client Support Representative
For this position, Avanti is looking for a technically minded individual with strong problem solving skills. The successful candidates will work with the support team to respond to support calls in a timely and courteous manner. Must be a self-starter and ability to learn the Avanti software quickly. Must be able to adjust priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to first level support calls over phone and email
- Open Incidents for all calls received and have ownership of each incident
- Follow-up all open calls in a timely manner
- Write up and submit projects to Development for resolution
- Work with QA and programming to ensure timely resolution of projects
- Send file updates to clients
- Additional projects
Experience / Education Required:
- Associates or Bachelor degree
- 1+ year in a Help Desk preferably in Print industry
- Knowledge of Operating systems, e.g. Windows 2000, 2003 server/network
Experience is Mandatory in the following fields:
- Print Industry
Personal Characteristics Required:
- Excellent personal interaction and communication (written and verbal)
- Able to work independently or in a collaboration with others
- Excellent listening skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
Required skills:
- Working in a client/server environment
- Installing and setting up software
- Familiar with different operating systems, e.g. Windows 2000/2003
- Internet knowledge
Any additional experience and/or technical knowledge of the following areas would be very beneficial:
- Windows web server setup (IIS)
- Microsoft SQL 2000/2005
- Pervasive.SQL
- ODBC setup
