Avanti Receives Multiple On Demand Best Of Show Awards

Avanti sweeps the category for Best of Show Awards for Print MIS/ERP at On Demand 2007 in Boston

April 23, 2007 - Boston, Mass., USA - Avanti Computer Systems Limited, a leading provider of business management software for commercial and in-plant print shops has been recognized at this year's ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition with both Best of Show awards in the Print MIS/ERP category. Avanti's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) module and its JDF framework received first and second place respectively.

InfoTrends, a leading market research and consulting firm in the digital imaging and document solutions industry, partnered with the ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition to produce the awards program. The ON DEMAND Conference & Expo is the world's leading digital printing conference and exposition, encompassing all of the technologies that are used to create, manage, personalize, print and deliver content.

Avanti CRM integrates all your customer information with your back-end Avanti Production Management system; it means understanding customers purchases, why they buy and what their buying cycles are, past challenges and how they were resolved, and if customers were satisfied with the resolution. In other words, CRM is about building customer loyalty and managing that loyalty so you create repeat customers.

"Printers are starting to realize that CRM is more than just contact management and shouldn't be a standalone application only used by the sales team," says Patrick Bolan, president and CEO of Avanti Computer Systems. "Avanti CRM is completely integrated with all the other Avanti modules, giving our customers the competitive advantage of one integrated system that brings together their job-centric shop with the customer-centric world that their sales reps and CSR's live in." Bolan continues "Our JDF framework provides printers with the ability to create a seamless information link between their MIS software, prepress, production and bindery equipment."

Judging the Entries

The competition was judged by a diversified panel of professionals from the graphic arts and printing community including Frank Romano, Professor Emeritus, RIT; Don Goldman, Director, ConsultWare; and Noel Ward, Executive Editor, On Demand Journal. The judges were chosen for their accomplishments and extensive knowledge in this market and its technologies.

"The awards program recognizes the companies that are truly at the forefront of innovation and leadership in the digital imaging and document solutions industry. We are thrilled to honor them for their outstanding achievements," said Patrick Gallagher, Event Director - AIIM and ON DEMAND Conferences & Expos, Questex Media Group.

"The pool of nominations was exceptional, which made judging difficult," commented Charlie Pesko, President of InfoTrends. "These solutions are truly best of breed. We applaud all the entrants on their success."
