Estimating
The estimating needs of Print shops have changed dramatically over the years. Originally, Avanti developed estimating software for sheetfed and web printers: the Litho Estimating tool. However, we recognized early on the role that digital technology would have in the Print industry.
In 1997, rather than trying to adapt our traditional offset estimating module to fit the Print On Demand (POD) world, Avanti began development of the Demand Estimating system specifically for Digital Printers, On-Demand Printers, Large Format and Reprographic Shops.
Today, just as lithography and digital printing co-exist in many shops, the technologies co-exist within Avanti and we have emerged as the only company to provide two distinct estimating modules: one for sheetfed and web presses; and one for digital equipment. This makes Avanti an excellent choice for those printers utilizing both offset and digital technology.
Litho Estimating:
This is where the job plan begins. All information as to how the job will be produced most efficiently comes from a well constructed estimate. Avanti offers a very robust estimating tool able to handle all the sophistication that goes into a litho estimate to maximize efficiency, minimize cost and exceed customer expectations with regard to quality.
Demand Estimating:
Print On Demand is becoming an important line of business for most shops. Estimating for this type of work demands an intuitive, estimating tool focused on speed, flexibility and ease-of-use.
